Sheltered housing

We provide three sheltered housing schemes for veterans aged 60 or over and partners, in Greenwich, Portsmouth and Plymouth, in partnership with CESSA Housing Association.

Greenwich Hospital's sheltered housing supports independent living

Former WREN Maureen calls her one bedroom flat 'home' at Greenwich Place, Saltash.

“I love it here. My flat is beautiful and perfect for one person. I have a view of the river, which I always look at. Growing up near the River Mersey, water has always been part of my life. It’s truly home-from-home. I’m in a good place and I feel safe and secure. I have no regrets.”

    What support is available?

Around 124 former Royal Navy and Royal Marines veterans aged 60 and over and their partners live in our sheltered housing schemes at any one time.

We work with the Church of England Soldiers’, Sailors’ & Airmen’s Clubs (CESSAC) to run these communities, and you can read more about what is on offer here.
